I am a small-scale breeder of quality chinchillas located just off the M8 in central Scotland, roughly mid-way between Edinburgh and Glasgow. My primary focus is the (Sullivan) violet mutation, though I also breed standards and violet/white derivatives, from time to time. To this end, my small breeding herd of chinchillas comprises mainly of a few quality pure standard chinchillas, violets and violet carriers. I also have a pink white violet carrier and a violet white chinchilla.

Occasionally I have chinchillas available for purchase. I do not home chinchillas to anyone under the age of 13 and, if between 13 and 18, I will not home a chinchilla to you unless you are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Kits may initially seem 'cute', but they don't stay kits for very long and a well looked after chinchilla which has been well-bred should live for in excess of 10 years. Also, when purchasing a more mature chinchilla, you can be more certain of what you are purchasing in terms of health, physical characteristics and behavioural characteristics.
I do not usually sell chinchillas under 12 months of age as I like to keep all progeny until they are old enough to see how they have turned out in respect of my aims above. Any chin that is sold younger, is one I have decided I cannot use for breeding in my herd at the time - and is sold strictly as a pet.
Pedigrees are generally only provided on request, if a reason for wanting one is stated. I will always, however, provide background information (akin to a Birth Certificate) for a chinchilla and am happy to discuss history (please enquire for further details).
A chinchilla bred here, by me, which is purchased and develops a proven, lethal, genetic fault before the age of 5 years will be replaced free of charge when another suitable chinchilla becomes available. I will not replace chinchillas in the event of accidents, mis-treatment or neglect etc. (please enquire for further details/conditions).
I do not currently rescue chinchillas, though I may be able to put you in contact with others who could help.
